ulian first started working on a record label in 1993, when he was involved with `Ouch Records'. His first release was `The Chapter 9 EP' which was produced by Julian, Philip Peskit and Chris Rhodes. After his second single on Ouch, entitled `Feel free by chapter 9', Julian met Darren Pearce and they went on to release `D'Enrico', which Julian co-produced. Julian produced many tracks for `Ouch' including `Cocaine', `Roller Coaster' and `Fire'. In total Julian and Darren were responcible for 90% of the 10" coloured vinyl releases on `Ouch', which have now become collectable and much sought after records.
fter nearly two years with Ouch, it was time for Julian to move on, luckily he had recently Met Andy Manston, who being full of fresh ideas soon helped Julian to return to peak form in the studio. The first outcome of their collaboration was `Believe in me' by Mankey, a track swiftly picked up by The Ministry of Sound.
There soon followed a move across London to the Crosstrax label where Julian continued to produce tracks with Andy, including Mankey's second single, `Double Trouble' which was released on `Slam Records'.
Here, Julian again teamed up with Darren Pearce to record `Nine ways' by JDS,which was initially released on the `Sound Corporation' label, and soon became an Ibiza smash. Inevitabely there followed an A&R battle to acquire the recording, which finally saw it being signed to Pete Tong's FFRR label.
